The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it truly is alarmed with regards to the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The assistance issue developed for intervention encounters a high influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to enable the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
